Welcome to this journey which is expected to be an interesting experience from the real world.
What this is about.
This is a blog about a blog. Blog’s diary.
How much effort, time, money, love, patience, self-control and motivation somebody needs to start a blog. Whether it is worth all that effort and resources or not, what should be done or can be done to do the best in blogging, what sort of mistakes it brings and how it can be improved and avoided.
It will be a different, technical, blog (a reference will be provided later), and this blog is about how the technical blog is managed and works. I chose to make that technical because I have knowledge and experience that I’d like to share and learn more about, but an experience from this blog can be useful and helpful for all different blogs no matter what they are about.
A goal is to show what can be achieved by managing a blog in one or another way. Of course, it’s supposed to be in cooperation with readers to get help and feedback, and I appreciate all kinds of activities that help in doing this, let’s say, experiment.
Why and what is the main idea.
The main idea of this story is to show how it was/is to start a blog and manage the blog.
There are many good articles, and blogs about How to start a blog, how to monetize a blog, etc.
I’m one of those who wanted to try blogging but didn’t know how to start. I was not sure that I had enough experience, knowledge and information to start it, I wasn’t confident and was just thinking about things that were stopping me from starting blogging.
I searched on the Internet and found some information, and many of those resources were very similar to each other (although there were many good videos and readings on this topic). But very often I was provided with quite the same information, sometimes it was different just in the last numbers of the title (2020, 2023, 2024, depending on what year was outside the window when I was reading about that). There were articles and videos like ‘How to start a blog in 2024’ with all the same points from ‘How to start a blog in 2023’, and those points were just general steps suggesting finding a niche and choosing a subject and name, write unique text, engage with visitors, etc. After that, I closed the article/video and went searching for an idea/subject/name that didn’t seem good enough to start at that time. Months and years have passed …
So, I’m not going just to write one more article like ‘How to start a blog in 2025’ with all the same points from the ‘How to start a blog in 2024’ post to tell the same things as find a niche and choose a subject and name, write unique text, engage with visitors, collaborate, sell advertising space, etc. Of course, all that stuff is very important and must be done, but my point is to go through all those things step-by-step and show you what and how that works (or doesn’t work).
I’ll start a new technical blog from the very beginning like the blog’s name and go through with the goal to have 1000+ readers after 6-8 months. If it works, I can continue to have 20 000 + readers after 12-18 months. This is the goal. I don’t expect it will be an easy task, but I believe in this and so, let’s get it started!
A little about where we start from and what we start with.
Reading this blog, you will have a chance to understand better how it works when somebody with no experience starts a blog. You can also see some good and bad experiences which helps to start a new blog more efficiently knowing the best practices and mistakes to avoid.
It has been started with … almost nothing. I have no experience in blogging, no experience in managing and sharing blog(s), I need to gather more knowledge in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). So, I’m in the same position as many others who want to try blogging but listed just above may be stopping you. Let’s prove that this shouldn’t be the reasons to not do it but the reasons to start as soon as possible to learn all those interesting things.
There is only one fact that can help me with this (what you might not have) – I’m a software developer and I have been working with many different technologies. That will help me to start the technical part of the blog (which is a comparatively very small part of the entire blogging process). But this is not what helps me much in handling the blog in general (getting many readers, having good content, etc.). I’ll try to show you how little you need from a technical perspective and that should not be a concern at all, you don’t need to be a programmer or near an IT person to understand the technical side of the blog. But there are many other things that are more important (in my opinion) in blogging than technical skills and technical experience. Let’s figure it out together.

I’m planning to update it once a week or bi-weekly depending on how much time it needs to write a new technical post or perform some activities in managing the technical blog and what the results are.
